Back to Cruising

I grew up boating. From a young age my summer vacations are filled with the memories of cruising the San Juan Islands, Blake Island and other destinations in my families sailboat. They were good times with odd memories etched into my memory. By the time I graduated from college my Father decided to down size from our Cal T-2, a great family cruiser to a day sailor. While his reasons were valid, no one in my family felt cruising involved a tent. So what little cruising we had been doing in those last few years came to a stop. Flash forward a few years, a great number of subtle hints, a grandchild, and a few boats later. My Father traded in the boats, yes boats by this time, for a Ranger 26, a great cruiser/racer. It has been a slow start back into cruising but it is happening.
